Mrs. Shirley Joyner Plotner, of Dyersburg, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at her daughter's home.  She was born November 7, 1945 in Brownsville, TN to the late Loftin and Gladys Booker.  She was employed for many years with Caterpillar Manufacturing and later ran a fruit and vegetable stand with her family in the Four-Points community.  Shirley was a lover of music and wrote poetry in her free time.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Steven Plotner, her daughter Charlotte Allen, her sons Mark Joyner (Jennifer) and Larry Leonard Joyner, Jr. her sisters Billie Runions and Patsy Austin and her brothers Charles, Danny and Stanley Booker.  She enjoyed spending time with and was greatly loved as "Granny" by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, of 50 years, Larry L. Booker, Sr. her parents and her brothers Ricky Booker and Larry Wayne Booker.

Chapel funeral services will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 led by Mr. Stanley Booker.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery near Friendship, TN.  Family members and friends will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
