Shirley Faye Gibson, 77, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Dyersburg Healthcare.

She was born on September 20, 1940, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Bill Parmenter and the late Lucille Dyer Parmenter. Shirley was a retired sales clerk at Acred Shoe Store, where she worked for 21 years and was a former employee of Shainbergs Clothing Store. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 47 years and was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren Stephens and the Rev. Ronnie Wylie officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Marty Gibson (Shelley) of Dyersburg; two sisters, Patsye Jones (Shelton) of Dyersburg and Dianna Flatt of Newbern; a brother, Billy Edward Parmenter (Janie) of Dyersburg; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Gibson and Carolyn Gibson, both of Dyersburg; seven nephews, Christopher Jones, Matthew Jones, Allen Voss, Tyler Flatt, Gerald "Buddy" Gibson, Joy Skelton and John R. Skelton; and four nieces, Kymbala Sanders, Whitney Flatt, Shelia Pfenninger and Pam Hightower.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Gibson; two sisters, Linda Foster and Doris Karlgaard; a niece, Heather Stephens; and a sister-in-law, Noveleen Skelton.

Pallbearers will be Nelson Richards, Eddie Carter, Jimmy Atchison, Mack Kail, Andrew Regen and Tommy Hall.
