Shirley Christene Cherry, 80, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at AHC Healthcare.

Shirley was born on June 19, 1941, in Ripley, TN, to the late, Maltie Eugene McKee and Irene Davidson McKee. She was a former housekeeper for the Dyersburg Hospital and enjoyed shopping. Shirley loved John Wayne, westerns, old country music and her cat, Fancy.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Lebanon Church Cemetery in Halls with Mr. Rick Crawford officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, George Cherry of Jackson, TN and Charles Cherry (Stephanie) of Newbern, TN; two daughters, Shirley Ainscough of Henderson, TN and Brenda Johnson (Mark) of Florence, AL; six grandchildren, Ashton Cherry, Brittny Fawcett (Klyne), Jeremy Cherry, Shelby Cherry, Tyler Cherry (Rebecca) and Aaron Ainscough; and three great-grandchildren, Channing Fawcett, Ledger Fawcett and Everett Fawcett.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her two late husbands; a son, Scott Allen Cherry; and two brothers, Thomas Eugene McKee and Walter Montel McKee.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
