Obituary

Pastor Shannon Philip Saliba, 45, of Finley, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at his residence.

Shannon was born on March 2, 1975, in Memphis, TN to Philip Barry Saliba and Phyllis Teresa Tucker Gatewood. He was the Pastor of The Church of Jesus Christ in Lenox and formerly worked for the Dyersburg City School System. Shannon received his Theology Degree from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. He pastored in Memphis, Dyer, Bartlett and Dyersburg and worked with the Mission Youth Group.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ, 3818 Lenox Nauvoo Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024 with Pastor Mickey Dodd and Bro. Tommy Johnson officiating. Committal services and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Forrest Hills Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133 with Bro. Mickey Dodd and Bro Bill Hobbs officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Saliba Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ in Lenox.

Survivors include his wife, Hollie Mancell Saliba of Finley, TN; three sons, Philip Landon Saliba of Memphis, TN, Eli Philip Saliba and Skyler Lynn Fowlkes, both of Finley, TN; a daughter, Maranda Mae Saliba of Dyersburg, TN; his mother, Phyllis Gatewood of Olive Branch, MS; his father, Philip Barry Saliba of Memphis, TN; two granddaughters whom he was raising, Soriah Slatton and Moriah Slatton, both of Finley, TN; and a special friend, Linda Barham of Finley, TN.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joshua Shane Saliba and Jason Shawn Saliba.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Davidson, Tim Burns, Mike Glover, Elijah Taylor, Eric Gilbert and Willie Spears. Honorary pallbearers will be George McCaig and Sammy McGuire.
