Sarah Elizabeth "Precious" Edmundson Bond, 89, of Dyersburg, died Sunday March 7, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist Church for 60 years, a member of Summer Hill Garden Club, an avid Bridge player, an excellent cook, an avid reader, a member of Thursday Morning First United Methodist Church Bible Study, a member of Potts-Price and Sellers Sunday School Class, a member of United Methodist Women, and a Methodist Youth Fellowship Leader.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Phillip Cook and Rev. Wade Cox officiating. Burial will be in Griers Chapel Cemetery in Dyer, TN.
The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, R.H. "Red" Bond of Dyersburg; two daughters, Carol Elizabeth Bond Hamer and husband Joseph William Hamer, of Birmingham,AL, and Nancy Leigh Bond Deere, of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Richard William Hamer, Rev. Elizabeth Bond Hamer Nall, John Thomas Deere, and Wesley Bond Deere; and two great-grandchildren, Rebekah Elizabeth Hamer, and Maxwell William Hamer.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jequline Ann Bond; her parents, James Wesley and Frances Grauette Edmundson; her identical twin sister, Frances Estelle Anderson; and a brother, William Lewis Edmundson.
Pallbearers will be Richard William Hamer, John Thomas Deere, Wesley Bond Deere, Jonathan Summers, Jameson Hunley Gullett, and Adam Heath Fisher.
