Sandra Hayes Petty, 75, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Sandra was born on March 16, 1946, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late, Floyd and Janice Crouch Hayes. She was a retired bookkeeper for Lake County High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville. Sandra loved gardening, traveling and particularly her grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with Mr. Carl Mills and Rev. John Troutman officiating. Burial will be in Buckelew Cemetery in Tiptonville. The Petty Family will receive visitors starting at 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Petty of Tiptonville, TN; two daughters, Tandi Petty Story (Greg) of Tiptonville, TN and Shannon Petty Morgan (Mark) of Germantown, TN; a brother, Floyd Hayes, Jr. of Katy, TX; and two grandchildren, Julia Denton and Zachary Morgan.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Easterwood.

Pallbearers will be Cliff Berry, Jr., Shane Fraley, Shelby Barker, Jr., Chris Walton, Butch Archie and David Hugh Keefe.

Memorials may be directed to Margaret Newton Scholarship Fund, Lake County Cancer Society or to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis.
