Sammy Lane Sharp, 76, of Tiptonville, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her residence.
She was a retired live-in caregiver and was a former Riverboat Cook for seven years. Ms. Sammy was also a member of First Baptist Church in Hohenwald.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Sharp officiating. Speakers will also include Mr. Bill Sharp, Nikki Moore and Cricket Sharp. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The Sharp Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two sons, Frankie Sharp and wife, Debbie, of Ridgely and Bobby Sharp and wife, Sue, of Hohenwald; two daughters, Regenia Lane Moore of Tiptonville and Loyce "Cricket" Sharp of Hohenwald; a brother, Robert "Bob" Kennedy Rice of Alexandria, LA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin "Buddy" Sharp; a son, Dennis Sharp; her parents, Nullye and Mary Kennedy Rice; a sister, Abigail Hyde; a brother, William H. "Bill" Rice; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
