Ruth Ann Brann Jones, 68, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Ruth was born on July 10, 1952, in Mayfield, KY, to the late, George and Lizzie Peery Brann. She was a retired correctional officer with Northwest Correctional Facility and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Hornbeak.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Pat Murdock and Bro. Wilson Walley officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Jones of Tiptonville, TN; a daughter, Teresa Bennett of Ridgely, TN; a step-daughter, Michelle Jones of Union City, TN; a step-son, Mike Jones of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Julia Foster of Tiptonville, TN; a brother, Jimmy Brann of Wingo, KY; two grandchildren, Josh Henson of Tiptonville, TN and Lindsay Henson of Gates, TN; and two great-grandchildren, Linleigh Henson and Harleigh-Anna Henson.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Poyner.
