Ruth Bishop, 81, of Finley, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Buck Bishop of Finley; three daughters, Rose White of Finley, Cindy Barham and Jan Woody, both of Dyersburg; two sons, Billy Bishop of Finley and Jamie Bishop of Dyersburg; two sisters, Jean Burkeen of Hickman, Ky. and Carolyn Irving of Dyersburg; three brothers, George Patterson of Troy, Steve Patterson of Dyersburg and Jerry Patterson of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Bobbie Patterson; a sister, Shirley Nicks; and four brothers, Acie Patterson, Bennie Patterson, Harold Patterson and Cotton Patterson.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Pruitt, Derek Canada, Danny Petrie, Phillip Heathcott, Jeff White and Tony Newton.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Three Oaks Baptist Church.
