Russell Fred Ragan, 48, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on February 20, 1971, in Dyersburg, TN, to Fred Hart Ragan and the late Linda Nell Markham Ragan. Russell was a truck driver for Ragan Trucking. He was a lifelong resident of Lake County and was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Cottonwood Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joey Campbell Ragan of Ridgely, TN; a son, Russell Fred Ragan II of Ridgely, TN; a daughter, Jenny Lin Ragan of Ridgely, TN; his father, Fred Hart Ragan of Paris, TN; and a sister, Amy Ragan McKenzie and husband, Tim, of Paris, TN.

In addition to his mother, Russell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Finis and Elizabeth Markham and Fred and Grace Ragan.

Pallbearers will be Jason Leake, Kelly Tippit, James Burkett, Nicky Jones, David Callens and Mike Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark McKenzie, Hart McKenzie, Russell Ragan II, Tim McKenzie and Ty Parmenter.
