Ms. Ruby May Wilson Sipes, 80, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at her residence.

Ruby was born on May 20, 1943, in Ridgely, TN, to the late James Gordon Wilson and Bessie Jewel Scurlock Wilson. She worked at Sylvania until the factory shut down and then went on to work at HECO for 15 years. Ruby was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to bowl, especially with her bowling league and was a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Crowell, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two sons, Michael Lynn Sipes (Samantha) of Newbern, TN and Gary Sipes (Lisa) of Livingston, TX; three daughters, Lisa Baldwin (Bob) of Sharpsburg, GA, Stephanie Walton (Ken) of Old Hickory, TN and Michelle Willis of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Tommy Wilson (Diane) of Fowlkes, TN; two sisters, Theresa Shelton (Johnny) of Fowlkes, TN and Judy Crawford of Union City, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Michael T. Sipes, Mallory Ellington (Austin), Hunter Stanfield (Lyra), Matthew Stanfield, Corey Sipes (Adriana), Clayton Sipes, Brittany Hughes (Jody), Tyler Hughes, Barry Clayton Hughes (Kayla), Cecily Coles (Ben), Shelby Walton, Lane Walton and Taylor Erwin (Brianna); and thirteen great-grandchildren, Braylin Sipes, Barrett Sipes, Jacob Stanfield, Jayke Stanfield, Sadie Pierce, Rylee Pierce, Nash Hughes, Knox Hughes, Peyton Coles, Ella Coles, Sadie Coles, Axel Erwin and Logan Patrick.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her lifetime companion, Terry Sipes; and two brothers, James Wilson and Marvin Wilson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Clayton Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Michael T. Sipes, Lane Walton, Taylor Erwin and Cullen Jones.
