Ruby Jean Petty, 83, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

She was retired from the molding department at Colonial Rubber and was a member of Pierce Lane Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Petty Family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her step-daughter, Tammy Bennett of Dyersburg; her step-son, Ricky Petty of Dyersburg; two sisters, Mary Sue Morgan and husband, Don, and Betty Ann Harrington, all of Dyersburg; a brother, George Harrington of Dyersburg; and four step-grandchildren, Dustin Bennett, John Paul Bennett, and Kevin Petty and wife, Samantha, all of Dyersburg and Alison Ellis and husband, Bobby, of Paris.

Ms. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, John Petty; her parents, Andrew, Sr. and Effie White Harrington; two step-sons, Mark Thomas Petty and Dennis Ray Petty; three sisters, Maxine Hilliard, Willie Mae Scott, and Erma Melton; and two brothers, S.R. Harrington and Andrew Harrington.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Bennett, John Paul Bennett, Mike Morgan, Mark Morgan, Mike Harrington, and Dr. Tony Bacigalupo. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Petty and Bobby Ellis.
