Ruby Carson, 96, of Newbern, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fair Havens Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Parks Thurmon officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Dunahoo of Memphis; two sons, Johnnie Carson and Billy Carson, both of Newbern; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Carson; her parents, Dennis and Polly Autry; two sisters and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be Tim Dunahoo, Randy Dunahoo, John Carson, Adam Winn, Scott Winn and Tim Winn.
