Roy Hewitt O'Steen, 72, of Ridgely, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a State Fire Marshall for the State of Tennessee. He worked for the State of Tennessee for 22 years. He was a Mason and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Glenn Scott officiating.
Survivors include his two daughters, Julie Annette O'Steen of Ridgely and Tiera Shea Grissam of Cleburne, TX; two sons, Brian Emery O'Steen of Alvarado, TX and Lance Aaron O'Steen of Scott's Bluff, NE; two sisters, Linda Looney of Bend, OR and Leslie Browning of Jordan Valley, OR; a brother, Gary O'Steen of Stark, FL; three grandchildren, Monica Fincher, Kalie Lebo and Alexis O'Steen; and two great-grandchildren, Journey Fincher and Joshua Serna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Thelma Outiz O'Steen; and a brother, Ross O'Steen.
