Obituary

Mr. Roy Curtis Fields, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.  Roy was born in Dyersburg on May 16, 1936.  Throughout his life, Roy worked as a mechanic and in many areas of construction as a carpenter.  In his free time, he loved Western Movies, listening to music and traveling.  He was a Golden Glove Boxer and enjoyed driving race cars.  He is remembered for his fun-loving personality.

Roy is survived by his wife, Flossie Fortner Fields, his daughters, Teresa Cuautle, Anna Fields, Kathleen Fields & Susan Dowdy, sons, Neil & Larry Warner, brothers James Wilkinson & Leo Wilkinson, sister Donna Padgett, sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Fields and Violet Wilkinson and brother David Fields.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.  William Fields, Neil Warner, Chad McKnight, Jennifer Dowdy, Brian Guzman & Donovan Green will serve as pallbearers with Charles Eddie Holt & James Fields being honorary pallbearers.
