Roy Cooper, 75, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at his residence.
He was a painter for Raymond Cooper Painting Company and a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. James Combs officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Cooper of Dyersburg; two daughters, Patsy Jones of Friendship and Katherine "Kath" White of Dyersburg; a son, Roy Anthony "Tony" Cooper of Dyersburg; two sisters, Alma Rumley of Dyersburg and Imogene Hurt of Sikeston, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Myrtle Cooper; a sister, Thelma "Mutt" Pugh; and five brothers, Alvin "Son" Cooper, E.J. Cooper, Troy Cooper, Raymond "Bus" Cooper and Granville Cooper.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Cooper, David Cooper, Rusty Cooper, Ricky Simpson, Danny Jones Jr., Ralph Whitney, Thomas "T.J." Jones and Tommy Whitney.
