Ross Thomas "Tommy" Mullins was welcomed into heaven by his loving wife, Judy on Wednesday, December 28th.  He died peacefully at his home at the age of 72.

He was born in Memphis to Schultz and Nell Mullins on October 1, 1944. He married Judy Augdon in 1966. They moved to Dyersburg where they raised two sons and one daughter. He was a retired journeyman lineman at Dyersburg Electric System. He served on the board for the Dyersburg Credit Union for many years.

In his spare time, he participated in a bowling league and he raced stock-cars. He enjoyed rebuilding race cars with his boys. When grandchildren came along he enjoyed whatever they were into at the time, especially watching the girls play softball and his grandson play baseball.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Mullins, and his parents Schultz and Nell Mullins.

He is survived by his two sons, Thomas Mullins and wife Kim, and Tim Mullins and wife Kim; a daughter, Kelly Tisza and husband Matt; four grandchildren, Hailey Mullins, CarLeigh Goad, Luke Mullins, and Collyns Tisza.

He is also survived by his sister, Gayle Fox and husband Bill; and his brother, Bill Mullins; and his sister-in-law, Jean Langston.


Visitation will be Friday night from 5-7 pm at Dyersburg Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 9-10 am on Saturday. Graveside services will be Saturday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens at 10:30 am with Bro. James Combs and Bro. Paul Hogue officiating.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Pilkenton, Jay Garza, Kevin Ward, Allen Dudley, Randy McLean and George Moon. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Jones, Vincent Younger, and Freddy Gribble.
