Roger Dale Gooch, 68, of Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.

He was born on April 13, 1950, in Lake County, TN, to the late Alvin and Thelma McCreary Gooch. Roger was a retired employee with Goodyear and attended New Hope Bible Church. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Roger served his county in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Lake Memorial Gardens with Bro. Mike Lavender officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his three sons, Timothy Gooch and wife, Sarah, of Waverly, NY, B.J. Gooch of Hornbeak and Bradley Gooch and wife, Carrie, of Martin; three sisters, Margaret Gooch Hunter of Tiptonville, Martha Jean Spann of Smyrna and Barbara Hanks of Tiptonville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Darnall; and three brothers, Jimmy Gooch, Cecil Gooch and Frank Gooch.

Pallbearers will be Brent Work, Josh Cheatham, Kent Hunter, Bobby Hunter, Bradley Gooch and B.J. Gooch. Honorary pallbearers will Ken Hickman, Danny Gooch, Joseph Gooch and John Cochran.
