Rodney Lynn McCoy, 52, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Rodney was born on May 31, 1971, in Tiptonville, TN to Donna Walley Tyler and the late Danny McCoy. He was a self-employed electrician and was a Baptist by faith. Rodney was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider. In his spare time, he would often ride his motorcycle for several different charities and he loved to travel.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church, 835 Tank Two Road, Ridgely, TN 38080 with Bro. David Gray officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at the church.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Tyler of Ridgely, TN; a brother, Michael Dewayne McCoy of Ridgely, TN; two aunts, Joyce McCoy (William) of Tiptonville, TN and Paula Hanna (Jimmy) of Dyersburg, TN; one uncle, Robert Walley (Sheila) of Tiptonville, TN; one niece, Bracy McCoy of Tiptonville, TN; and twelve cousins, Brent Alexander, Brian Davis, Robert Thacker, Adam McCoy (Sandy), Shane Walley, Josh Walley and Nick Walley, all of Tiptonville, TN, Stacey Reynolds (Brian) of Union City, TN, Chad Hanna (Elizabeth) of Dyersburg, TN, Chris Hanna of Newbern, TN, Robert McCoy (Annette) of Ridgely, TN and Brad McCoy of Dyersburg, TN.

In addition to his father, Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Tommie McCoy and Winford and Loretta Walley; and two cousins, Bruce Williams and Christopher Walley.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Lynn, Bobby Wiggins, Joey Reynolds, Cotton Brewer, Randy Simmons, Adam McCoy, Blake Simmons, Manny Barbaro, David Smith, Ralph White, David Hammer, Billy Hopper and Donny Simmons.
