Robert Edward Sugg (Bob) of Dyersburg, TN, formerly of Martin, TN died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

Bob was born March 1, 1932 in Memphis, TN to Thomas Leland and Lona Stroud Sugg. He grew up in Wynne, AR, was retired from the University of TN at Martin and was a member of First Baptist Church, Dyersburg.

His memorial service will be on Saturday, November 9 at 11:30am at First Baptist Church, Dyersburg with Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Visitation will begin at 10am prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

He leaves behind 2 daughters, Melissa Melton (Steve) of Dyersburg, Beverly Ballard (Duke) of Lebanon, TN; 2 sons, Greg Sugg (Lynn) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Scott Sugg of Collierville, TN; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as 2 brothers, Jim Sugg (Lou) of Wynne, AR and Dick Sugg (Pat) of Wichita Falls, TX.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Darlene Timberlake Sugg; his sister, Betty Courtway; and 3 brothers, Jack Sugg, Ronnie Sugg, and Addison Sugg.
