Robert Manson "Tom" Hayes, 79, of Tiptonville, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired farmer.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Harrison officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Hayes, of Tiptonville, one son, Nicky Hayes, Sr, of Tiptonville, three brothers, Jesse "Pop" Hayes, and wife, Sue, of Tiptonville, Bill Hayes of Martin, and Curtis Hayes, and wife, Gwen, of Martin, and two grandchildren, Nicky Hayes, Jr., and J.J. Hayes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ora Mae Hayes, one son, Timothy Wade Hayes, six brothers, Carlton "Duke" Hayes, Sam Hayes, Milton "Pete" Hayes, Jack Hayes, Jr, Dennon "Dill" Hayes, James Hatton Hayes, and sisters, Marie Hayes Brady, Nora Lee Cashon, Birdie May Pierce.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Hayes, William Whitson, Trey Spicer, Kyle Rodriquez, Tyler Chessor, and Nicky Hayes, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Meeks and Winston Whitson.
