Robert "Bob" Grunert, 65, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at his residence.

He was retired from ERMCO and RG Services, a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Dyersburg Choral Society, Leadership Dyer County, a board member of the Dyersburg-Dyer County Chamber of Commerce, bishop and council of the West Tennessee Episcopal Diocese, a member of the Community Concert Board and the Dyer County Arts Council.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gary Meade officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Judi Grunert of Dyersburg; two daughters, Michele Everman and husband, Phil, of Dyersburg, and Catherine Lassiter and husband, Jared, of Murray, Ky.; a son, Michael Grunert and wife, Laura, of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; a sister, Marilyn Marye and husband, Tom, of Roanoke, Va.; and five grandchildren, Lindsey and Matthew Williams, Katie Grunert, and Julian and Edan Lassiter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ruth Grunert.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
