Robert J. "Bob" Epperson, 85, of Dyersburg, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

He was a retired warehouse supervisor at PolyOne Corp. He was a founding member, former Sunday school teacher, superintendent, and council member at Cornerstone Church of God. He was a devoted family man who was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was an avid fisherman and former resident of St. Joseph Village.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. O.L. Hart and Bro. Jason Houston officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two sons, David L. Epperson and wife, Belinda, and Tim Epperson and wife, Sonya, all of Dyersburg; two daughters, Elizabeth Davis of Jackson; and Darla Davidson and husband, Jamie, of Newbern; two sisters, Marie Metcalf and husband, Charlie, of Drummonds; and Hazel Williams and husband, Jim, of West Helena, AR; a half-sister, Kathy Baucom of Dyersburg; a half-brother, Ronnie Epperson of Newbern; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Epperson; his father, Robert A. Epperson; his mother, Virgie Mooney Parker; his step-father, Ernest Parker; two brothers, Harold Epperson and James Epperson; a sister, Rosie Bailey; and a son-in-law, Darrell Davis.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Anderson, Kent Baumgardner, Scott Guest, Shane Petty, Ricky Hammond, and Don Grizzle. Honorary pallbearers will be Gale Cavness, Charles Rice, Jerome Sanders, J.B. Enochs, and Stan Hyman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church of God.
