Robert Gerald "Bob" Burkett's Obituary
Robert Gerald "Bob" Burkett, 76, of Tiptonville, formerly of Memphis, died Friday, May 15, 2009 at his residence.
He was retired as a bank officer for United American Bank.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Crockett's Chapel Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Marita Burkeen officiating. Burial will be in Crockett's Chapel Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. today at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rose Marie Leonard Burkett of Tiptonville; a son, Michael Burkett and wife, Margaret, of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Mike Burkett and Sarah Burkett.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Cain, Jeremy Hearn, Chad Hearn, Ryan Boyd, Horace Tipton, Mike Burkett and Lance Lovell.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Crockett's Chapel Methodist Church.
