R.M. Mackey, 77, of Friendship, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Mackey was born on March 12, 1944, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Robert Madison "Bob" Mackey and the late Gladys Roberts Mackey. He was a project supervisor with Forcum Lannom for 54 years. R.M. was a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny O'Guin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Mackey Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Mackey of Friendship, TN; three daughters, Penny Comer (Rex), Pam Northcott (Justin) and Gina Voyles, all of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Robert Sanders of Russellville, AR; six grandchildren, Dustin Johnson, Austin Hudson, Lea Voyles, Holly Sipes (Will), Seth Hudson and Tyler Northcott; and six great-grandchildren, Blake, Carter and Mary Collins Johnson, Ayden and Braelyn Fowler and Tanner Sipes.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mackey was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Kirk; three brothers, Arvel Mackey, Wylie Joe Mackey and Robert "Skeeter" Mackey; and four sisters, Buella Tull, Bonnie Roberts, Rachel Williams and Margaret Hendren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Sanders, Tim Vestal, Buddy Criswell, Tommy Jackson, Dustin Johnson, Austin Hudson and Seth Hudson. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Wilkerson, Jerry Pride and Tyler Northcott.
