Rita Faye Slaughter's Obituary
Rita Faye Slaughter, 74, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired private sitter and a member of Phillips Street Church of Christ.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, J.Z. Slaughter of Dyersburg; three daughters, Kelly Roseann Slaughter Robertson and Cynthia Diane Brown, both of Dyersburg and Ronda Faye Dodds of Nashville; a son, Ronald Ray Slaughter of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Jane Ann Robinson of Du Quoin, IL and Judy Marie Lovell of Haldayboro, IL; a brother, Robert Sronce of Quincy, IL; eight grandchildren, Justin Robertson, Johnathan Dodds, Cameron Hipp, Camille Robertson, Aerica Dodds, Natasha "Nat" Slaughter, Alex Brown and Austin Brown; and one great-grandchild, Travin Lucas Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bonnie Scarbrough Sronce.
Pallbearers will be Justin Robertson, Johnathan Dodds, Cameron Hipp, Jeff Robertson, Ronald Slaughter and John William Dodds. Honorary pallbearers will be Travin Lucas Robertson.
