Ricky Jerome "Nub" Doss, Sr., 58, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his residence.
He was a self-employed truck driver and a Methodist. He was an avid rabbit hunter. Jerome loved the Chicago Cubs, Miami Dolphins and Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a NASCAR fan.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. John Wayne Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his son, Neal Thomas Doss of Dyersburg; four sisters, Patsy Shipman of Meridian, MS., Teresa Davis of Trimble, Vicki Doss-Haynes of Knoxville and Sandy King of Jackson; a brother, Ronnie Doss of Dyersburg; and a granddaughter, Ashtyn Hope Doss of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Jerome Doss, Jr.; his parents, Pershing and Martha Carmon Doss; and three brothers, Ronald Doss, Tommy Minafore and Donnie Doss.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Godwin, Mark Piggot, Peter Pleasant, Larry Dale Pleasant, Jeremy Arnold, Chip Worley, Jeff McKinney and J.D. Buchanon. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Mallard, Ronnie Doss, Jr., David Doss, Josh Doss, Jason Cook, Brandon Cook, Blake King and Tony Davis.
