Rickey Lee Dees, 60, of Finley, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
He was a former district director in Tennessee for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a member of Finley United Methodist Church where he played piano and organ, a 1966 graduate of Dyersburg High School, a 1971 graduate of Lambuth College, and a former teacher at Finley School.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Gunter officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his mother, Delores "Doe Doe" Dees of Finley; a sister, Debby Pritchett and husband, Danny Joe, of Finley; two nephews, Heath Pritchett and wife, Maryanna, and Dustin Pritchett and wife, Laura Beth; and two great-nieces, Ellie and Emma Pritchett.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rubel Dees.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hollingsworth, Jeremiah Hollingsworth, George Hollingsworth, Gary McGill, Bob Brock, Bill McBride, Jeff Jones and Eugene McClain. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Deere and Dallas Castleman.
