Richard Maynard Wyrick, 82, of Millsfield, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

Richard was born on October 6, 1939, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Sidney and Mary Ethel Moore Wyrick. He was a retired Captain with the Dyersburg Fire Department, where he worked for 25 years. Richard was an avid fisherman and loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play ball.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery with Mr. Jimmy Davis officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Wyrick Family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Diane Wyrick of Millsfield, TN; a son, Richard Len Wyrick of Millsfield, TN; a daughter, Mary Brown (Danny) of Millsfield, TN; a brother, Johnny Wyrick (Glenda) of Millsfield, TN; a sister, Norma McCaslin of Dyersburg, TN; two grandchildren, Jennifer King (Greg) and Holly Woodward (Curtis); three great-grandchildren, Landon King, Rhealea Woodward and John David Woodward; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Sidney Wyrick.

Members of the Dyersburg Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
