Richard Lynn Ramsey, 70, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at West Tennesse Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Richard was born on July 18, 1947, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late Jefferson Ramsey and the late Mary Odessa Wright. He was retired from Rough Country as the Vice President of Purchasing and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Richard was very involved in animal rescue as well as being active in country line dancing. He loved to travel and also served in the Tennessee National Guard.

Services for Mr. Ramsey will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Annetta Camp officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Dyer. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Ramsey Family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ann Ramsey of Dyersburg; two daughters, Charlotte Kolwyck and husband, Allen, and Michelle Ramsey, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Sue Wilson and husband, Glynn of Texas and Dorothy Fletcher of Tampa; two brothers, Bob Ramsey and wife, Betty, of Memphis and Joe Ramsey and wife, Shirley, of Las Vegas, NV; and a grandson, Weston Kolwyck.

Pallbearers will be Mark Brown, David Brown, Shane Brown, Jack Boone, Jim Morgan and Jerry Fisher.
