Richard Eugene Darnell, 58, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at his residence.

Richard was born on February 28, 1965, in Berwyn, IL to the late Charles Eugene Darnell and Mary Margaret Wallen Darnell. He was a mechanic for Main Street Auto, loved listening to music and riding horses. Richard was an avid car collector, enjoyed going to car shows, car racing and building model car kits. He enjoyed donating his time to his friends and family for all their car needs. Richard loved putting together puzzles. At his last count, he had put together more than 830 puzzles.

Memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Christ Church Baptist Fellowship, 5774 Millsfield Hwy, Dyersburg, TN 38024.

Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Darnell of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, Randall Elvis Darnell and Travis Rebel Darnell, both of Dyersburg, TN; two sisters, Sherri Ballinger of Dyersburg, TN and Sandra Miller of Nicholasville, KY; one grandson, Zane Thomas Gage; and several nieces and nephews.
