Richard Ernest Cox, 57, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019.

He was born on October 25, 1961, in Dyersburg, TN, to William Cox and the late Clara Cox. Richard was the owner of Bodywerks. He loved Ford Racing and Hot Rods.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Bo Franklin officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Cox of Dyersburg, TN; three daughters, Amy Ford (Kent), Shelly Walker (Justin) and Christy Hunt (Rusty), all of Dyersburg, TN; three sons, Richie Cox (Alanna), Bo Franklin (Erica) and Jeff Franklin (Katie), all of Dyersburg, TN; his father, William Cox of Camden, TN; a brother, Chris Cox of Dyersburg; three sisters, Teresa Persino of Dyersburg, TN, Angie Scott of Roellen, TN and Stacey Cox of Friendship, TN; and sixteen grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Cox.
