Rice Pierce Goad, Jr.'s Obituary
Rice Pierce Goad, Jr., 93, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on March 17, 1925, in Midway, TN, to the late Rice Pierce Goad and the late Linnie Maude Willard Goad. Rice was retired from Lockheed Aircraft, where he worked for 29 years as a cost estimator and engineer. He was a member of the Dyersburg Masonic Lodge Hess#93 and was also a member of the Toastmasters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Ennis officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Goad of Dyersburg; two daughters, Joy Dawn Goad of Portland, OR and Sherry Gale Fender (Kip) of Patterson, CA; one son, Robert Donald Goad of San Jose, CA; two brothers, Joe W. Goad of Finley and Marshall B. Goad of Dyersburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hester, Jeff Jones, Bill Mancell, Jesse Benthall, Richard Goad and Dwight Pride.
