R.B. Jones, 78, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

R.B. was born on May 15, 1942, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Freddie and Willie May Delph Jones. After 47 years, R.B. retired from Dyersburg Fabrics as head of Security and he was a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church. He was the President of the Dyersburg Jaycees and was the past President of the Dyersburg Chapter of American Cancer Society. R.B. was a member of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was very active in the Dyersburg Chimes for Charity and helped with multiple charities in the area.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with Mr. Chuck Morris officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy J. Jones of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Jenny Jones Cupp (Chris) of Germantown, TN; two sons, Danny L. Jones of Jackson, TN and Randy Jones (Marilynn), of Olive Branch, MS; three sisters, Christine Griffin (James), Rosie M. Jones and Patricia A. Staggs, all of Dyersburg, TN; and six grandchildren, Trevor M. Jones, Brielle Jones, Channing Jones, Brandon Jones, Ashton Jones and Emma Grace Cupp.
