Raymond Dewayne Summers, 74, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at his residence.
He was a retired foreman for Colonial Rubber Works. Mr. Summers was a U.S. Army and Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of Tennessee Army National Guard for 20 years and a member of DAV.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gray officiating. Burial will be in Sorrells Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Summers of Dyersburg; three daughters, Sharon Summers Davis and husband, Greg, of Dyersburg, Rhonda Summers Perry and husband, Marcus O., of The Colony, TX and Amy Summers Hazlewood and husband, Daniel, of Bells; three sisters, Carolyn Perry and husband, John, Audry Garrett, and Glenda Kay Cartwright, all of Dyersburg; a brother, Gaylon Summers and wife, Debbie, of Newbern; five grandchildren, Summer Watts, Ward Watts, Caleb Dewayne Riley, Christian Hazlewood and Chloe` Hazlewood; and one great-grandchild, Aiden Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethel Burse Summers; two sisters, Cherry Buchanan and Brenda Glass; and three brothers, Bobby Summers, Billy Summers and Donald Ray Summers.
Pallbearers will be Greg Davis, Ward Watts, Marcus O. Perry, Daniel Hazlewood, Caleb Riley and Christian Hazlewood.
