Rayford Shelton's Obituary
Rayford Shelton, 85, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Graveside services were Saturday at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely with Olen Shelton officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Bizzle of Caruthersville, Mo.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Maysel Ashcraft, Helen Canada and Altie Dunn; and four brothers, Grady Shelton, Alvin Shelton, Bill Shelton and Robert Shelton.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
