Ray Odom, 61, of Newbern, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at his residence.
He was a maintenance employee of Nordyne, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Meacham Cemetery in Newbern with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Odom of Newbern; a daughter, Angela Funderburk and husband, Royce, of Dyersburg; a son, Chris Odom and wife, Misty, of Newbern; his mother, Bertha Odom Roper of Newbern; two sisters, Edna Childress and Paulette Morrow, both of Newbern; and six grandchildren, Dylan Odom, Madison Funderburk, Savannah Tabor, Mason Funderburk, Lane Odom and Izzie Lane.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Odom.
Pallbearers will be Ray Baker, Richard Dolezal, Steve Crawford, Alan Riley, Shannon Smith, Glen Flatt and Kenny Monteith.
