Ralph Vernon Perry Sr., 81, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin.
He was a retired policeman for the city of Halls, retired from Colonial Rubber Works, a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and a 32nd-degree Mason.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in RoEllen Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Wava Perry of Dyersburg; four sons, Ralph Perry Jr. and wife, Carolyn, Robert Goodman and Steven Craig Goodman, all of Dyersburg, and Chip Perry and wife, Marisa, of Franklin; and three grandchildren, Liam Ralph Perry of Franklin, Steven Craig Goodman Jr. of Jackson and Jimmy Perry and wife, Amber, of Trimble.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Perry; and his parents, Lonnie and Lula Notgross Perry.
Pallbearers will be Sam Taylor, Phil Rosser, Larry Parker, Richie Jackson, Harold Dunivant and Chris Buys. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Joe White, Chuck Davis, Chip Martin, Tom Kee, Kim Anderson and Claudie Gaskins.
