Ralph Fred Duke, 78, of Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.
He was born on July 11, 1940, in Bogota, TN, to the late John Wesley Duke and Rable Houston Duke. Ralph was a retired electrician of Goodyear Tire and Rubber, where he worked for over 30 years. He also served his country in the United States Air Force.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery in Parsons, TN.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his two sons, Ralph Duke of Rutherford, TN and John Perry Duke of California; two daughters, Kristin Ashe of Newbern, TN and Elysia Duke of Murray, KY; two brothers, John Ray Duke of Huntsville, AL and Paul Robert Duke of Illinois; a sister, Doris Gamez of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Amanda Floyd of Newbern, TN, Joshua Duke and John Duke, both of Newcomerstown, OH; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Montgomery, Randy Welch, Ronnie Robinson, Dee Floyd, Bradley Floyd and Brian Sorrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Erie Lee Duke.
