Ralph Edward Brown, 92, of Tiptonville, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on June 20, 1924 in Owasso, Oklahoma to the late Ralph Burl Brown and the late Ina Louise Moore Brown. Ralph was a retired plumbing contractor. He was also a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church. Ralph was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran, serving in the China Burma India Theatre. He was an avid gardener, fisherman and woodworker.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cottonwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Brown of Tiptonville; two daughters, Lavon Delp of Olathe, KS and Marilyn Gray and husband, Pate, of Tiptonville; a brother, Ross A. Brown and wife, Jeanie, of Claremore, OK; four grandchildren, Lisa Smith and husband, Tim, David Delp and wife, Sheri, Ross Bradley and wife, Nacole, and Wes Bradley and wife, Kelli; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Theodoshia Gaylor; and a son-in-law, Dwight Delp.
Pallbearers will be Ross Bradley, Wes Bradley, David Delp, Jordan Smith, Caleb Delp and Peyton Rushing. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Gray, Fred Gaskill, Hank Curvin, Gary White, Paul Bargery, Alyn Jones and Zac Metoyer.
The family requests that donations may be sent to Cottonwood Baptist Church Youth Department.
