Ralph Sands Algee, 81, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired Federal Civil Service employee with the U.S. Navy, member of First United Methodist Church in Ridgely, past Grand Patron of Grand Chapter of Florida, member of Florence Carter Chapter #273 in Pensacola, FL., past Master of Pensacola Lodge #42 F.& A.M., member of Harmony Lodge #185 in Tiptonville and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Emerson officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Isabelle Algee of Ridgely; a daughter, J. Kathryn Harper of Maysville, GA.; three sons, John B. Algee of Buckhannon, West Virginia, Lawrence W. Algee of Pensacola, FL. and Ralph L. Algee of Ft. White, FL.; a brother, Griffin B. Algee of Ridgely; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Blanch Sands Algee; and a brother, Bob Algee.
Pallbearers will be Tony Bargery, Allen Shirley, Bob Shull, Brad Keiser, Dr. Robin Algee, John Leonard Moore, Wil Keiser, Peter Keiser, John Ryan Lemonds, Denny Johnson, Trent Patterson, Kent Patterson and Jimmy Dale Snyder. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Shell, Jerry Mac Shull and Aaron Staulcup.
