Mrs. Phyllis Dew Gilliland, 75, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Halls, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

Mrs. Phyllis was born on February 3, 1945, in Halls, TN, to the late, E.O. and Zola Tibbs Dew. She was a homemaker and was a licensed cosmetologist. She was the former co-owner of Gilliland's Plants & Flowers and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Phyllis was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Due to Covid19 everyone is asked to observe social distancing.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Michael L. Gilliland of Memphis, TN; a son, Michael L. Gilliland II of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Michelle Olson and husband, Erik, of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Sierra-Skye Erwin and husband, George, of Jackson, TN and Leif Elek Olson of Memphis, TN; a great-granddaughter, Aurora Lee Erwin; a sister, Sandra Clymer of Crossville, TN; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Kay Gilliland Wilson Enochs of Newbern, TN and Pamela Jo Gilliland of Dyersburg, TN; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Henderson, Ann Merando and Brenda Mullins.
