Phyllis Marie Cox, 86, of Tiptonville, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at her daughter's residence in Ridgely.
She was a retired waitress with Folk's Folly in Memphis and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with Bro. Steve Carr, Bro. Mickey Basham and Mr. Drew Cook officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sonjia Lynn Tolar of Ridgely and Deborah Marie Thorn of Jonesboro, AR; two sisters, Mary A. Chamberlain of Florida and Pamela Gunnells of Obion; two brothers, Gary Chamberlain of Obion and Jack Chamberlain of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jay Tolar, Sandy Wilson, Ron Thorn and Joseph Fracchia; and seven great-grandchildren, James Wilson, John Wilson, Emily Wilson, Ali Tolar, Haley Tolar, Carson Thorn and Collin Thorn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barton and Lucille Woods Chamberlain; and a sister, Joyce Ruth Davis.
Pallbearers will be Jay Tolar, Ron Thorn, Joseph Fracchia, Mackie Wilson, Jackie Flowers and Tolar Flowers.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Tiptonville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
