Peggy Sue Pilkenton Hardin, 77, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of Miston Baptist Church. Mrs. Peggy was an avid seamstress, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always put others before herself and will be deeply missed.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, James Earl Hardin of Dyersburg; three daughters, Vicky Autry and husband, Keith, Kim Hamlin and husband, Rick, all of Dyersburg and Marisa Oatsvall and husband, Keith, of Newbern; and four grandchildren, Bryan Autry, Lori Brooke Fite, Barrett Burns and James Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stoney and Rosie Buchanan Pilkenton; two sisters, Ernestine Jones and Lucille Lytle; and three brothers, Charles Pilkenton, Calvin Pilkenton and Buford Pilkenton.
Pallbearers will be Keith Autry, Rick Hamlin, Keith Oatsvall, Bryan Autry, Barrett Burns and James Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Fite.
