Peggy Bell Patton, 80, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was retired as assistant at Carol Hopkins Day Care, a founding member of Fuller St. Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, and attended East Dyersburg Pentecostal Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Miller and the Rev. Ron Lovins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Pat Hastings and husband, Gary, Sherry Sipes and husband, Benny, all of Dyersburg, Pam Fortner and husband, Ed, of Tatumville, and Cindy Cottrell and husband, Trevor, of Trimble; a stepdaughter, Peggy Roberson and husband, Nat, of Friendship; two sons, Ronnie Patton and wife, Judy, of Dyersburg, and Richard Patton and wife, Evelyn, of Friendship; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett "W.E." Patton; her parents, Wilburn Epps and Estell Pope Bell; a sister, Helen Irene Bell; and a step-great-great-grandchild, Dakoda Cryts.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Marty Hastings, Mark Sipes, Tobey Patton, Toby Patton, Lynn Fortner and Dillon Cottrell. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Brett Sipes, Chad Sipes, Joey Fortner, Eric Patton, James Roberson and Ricky Roberson.
