Ms. Peggy Griffin Jones, of Dyersburg, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Okeena Health & Rehabilitation in Dyersburg.  She was born January 16, 1942 to the late H. B. and Mattie Lee Griffin.  Peggy was a devoted mother and homemaker for her family.  She loved her community, volunteering in any way that she could for the benefit of others and being voted "Outstanding Young Woman".  She was a member of the Dyersburg Jaycettes and supported local organizations including the American Cancer Society, Chimes for Charity, St. Jude fundraising and the PTA groups in local schools.

Peggy is survived by her sons Danny Jones & Randy Jones and daughter Jenny Jones Cupp, a brother, Calvin Griffin, her grandchildren Trevor M. Jones, Brielle Jones, Channing Jones, Brandon Jones, Ashton Jones and Emma Grace Cupp and a great-grandson Caden Robert Jones.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, R.B. Jones, her brothers Ricky, Lonnie and William "Tookie" Griffin and her sisters Diane Hastings and Delores Ayers.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m with friends and family invited to gather there.  Peggy's family members will be honored to serve as pallbearers.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the American Cancer society or to Demential Support Organizations.
