Peggy Laverne Hicks, 74, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Peggy was born on May 2, 1946, in Madie, TN, to the late Walker and Madie Hearod Johnson. She was a retired nurse.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Family members will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.

Survivors include his two sons, Jonathan Wayne Hicks (Amber) of Bells, TN and John Thomas Ketchum of Dyersburg, TN; four brothers, Fred Johnson and Oscar Sonny Johnson, both of Ridgely, TN, James Billy Johnson (Teenie) of Clifton, TN and Donnie Johnson (Faye) of Ridgely, TN; and two sisters, Mamie L. Tubbs of Dyersburg, TN and Patty Staggs of Ridgely, TN.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Odell Hicks; a son, James Dwight Hicks; two half-sons, Allen Glenn Hicks and Timothy Allen Hicks; a brother, Jeffrey Carlton Johnson; and a sister, Maybell Simmons.
