Mrs. Peggy O. Gibson, age 87, of Dyersburg, TN passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Bells Nursing Home in Bells, TN.

She was born on September 6, 1934 in Dyer County, TN to the late Elmer and Beatrice Fisher Poole. She was a homemaker where she enjoyed being a momma and grandmother to all her family. Peggy enjoyed square dancing and crocheting. She loved all her church family at Holy Hills Baptist Church where she was a member. Peggy loved caring and looking after everyone she met and its that reason some called her the "community mom".

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Holy Hills Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Hills Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dennis Knowles. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN.

Survivors include her son, Buddy Gibson (Deborah) of Fairview, TN; one daughter, Pamela Hightower of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Jerry W. Rhodes of Whiteville, TN; three sister-in-laws, Joan Rhodes, Carolyn Gibson, and Rose Poole; three grandchildren, CJ Hightower, Randi Winstead, and April Dumas; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Gibson; her brother, James Poole; two sisters, Wanda Cooley and Charlotte Ann Coker; two grandchildren, Lorie Hughes and Peter Gibson Moford; her daughter-in-law, Regina Gibson and her son-in-law, Bill Hightower.

Honoring Mrs. Peggy as pallbearers will be friends and family.
