Peggy J. Darnell (formerly Anderson, Tweedy, Miller), 88, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died January 13, 2016 in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was born in Halls Tennessee on Sept. 3 ^rd , 1927 and lived in Dyersburg for 53 years before moving to Texas in 2010. She retired from banking after 33 ½ years in the business, employed the last 22 ½ years with Security State Bank. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 23rd in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with President Brent Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, January 23rd at the Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey L. Anderson and wife, Brenda of The Woodlands, Texas; a daughter, Johnnie C. Anderson of Memphis; two grandchildren, Erin Yeager and husband Justin, of Magnolia, Texas and Adrienne Conroy, and husband Carlos, of Pittsburgh, PA; five great grandchildren, Abigail Yeager, Madeline Yeager, Robert Conroy, Shannon Conroy, and Shaelin Conroy; three nephews, Larry Carnell and his wife Lini and their 8 children, Skip Carnell and his wife Sherry and their 5 boys, and Michael Signorelli and his daughter; four cousins, Jean Copeland, Billy Brewer, and Jerry Brewer of Dyersburg and Evelyn Chandler of Halls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard K. Carnell and Aline Boone Carnell; a sister, Kathleen Signorelli; and a brother, Herman Carnell.

Pallbearers will be Skip Carnell, Billy Freeman, Brent Jensen, Ken Roundy, James Singleton, Shawn King, Lucas King, and Jesse King. Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Carnell.
