Paula Janice Burns, 72, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

She was born on January 13, 1946 in Chicago, IL to the late Paul Pilkerton and the late Ellie Hopper Pilkerton. Paula was a homemaker and was a member of Northside Church of Jesus Christ.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Winstead officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Robert Burns of Dyersburg; a son, Kenny Sanders of Beeville, TX; two step-sons, Greg Burns of Roellen and David Burns of Dyersburg; three sisters, Lois Pilkerton and Sharon Shawver, both of Dyersburg and Wanda Rickman of Newbern; a brother, David Pilkerton of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Sanders; and two brothers, William Pilkerton and Johnny Pilkerton.
